Help the Our Schools Our Rules campaign by:

• Tell us your successes in increasing student voice, and the challenges you have faced.
• Encourage your teachers and students to complete the Our Schools our Rules survey
• Involve students in testing new ideas for students voice around key points of tension – such as relaxing uniform expectations, reducing homework, reducing sanctions for minor behaviours – and tell us the results, email us: ourschoolsourrules@gmail.com.

Increase student voice in your school by:

• Create a diverse and inclusive Student Council that feeds directly into your school’s governance.
• Ensure that students have easy to access representatives to share their views.
• Consult with the widest group of students on changes to school rules, sanctions and policy.
• Consider the impact of changes to school rules, sanctions and policy on all students, their lives and their families.
